Detailed itinerary for 7 days Uganda birding safari
Day 1: Bird Watching Safari in Entebbe
Upon your arrival time in Entebbe international Airport, your driver/Guide will welcome you and transfer to your hotel to have refreshment and briefing from the Guide.
Later you will have an afternoon visit to Entebbe around botanical gardens and Uganda Wildlife Education Center to sight bird species like common Ruff Wood, Marsh Sandpipers, common green shank, Madagascar Beetater, long tailed and Great cormorants, Great Reed, fain tailed widow, malachite, striped, ross’s turaco, red chested, pygmy kingfishers, golden and yellow backed weavers, superb sun bird, palm swift, Entebbe weaver among others

Day 2: Bird Watching Trail through Mabamba wetland to Lutembe Bay
Have a morning breakfast and packed snacks, transfer to Mabamba wetland, the place is an ideal environment for endemic shoebill stork which is one of the threatened species in Uganda.
Other bird species to sight in this wetland include red chested, scarlet chested, green throated and copper sunbird, temminck’s stint, lesser, jacana and the African purple swamp hen, reed warblers, pygmy, spur winged Goose, orange spottled backed, black headed, slender billed and golden backed weaver among others. Back to the Hotel for overnight and dinner

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After a hefty morning breakfast from your hotel, your guide will pick you and transfer to western part of Uganda through Masaka-Mbarara Highway, a stopover at the Equator for stretching, informative talks, shopping and photographs.
Embark to the journey to Lake Mburo national park where you will have lunch, after lunch head for an evening game drive with chances to spot the Impalas, Elands, Zebras, Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, warthogs including bird species like rufous-bellied Heron, Lesser Jacana, white headed, lappet faced vultures, martial Eagle, moorhen, Harlequin among others. Back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Bird watching safari in Lake Mburo national park
After a brief morning breakfast, head off for a full day bird trail, wildlife and flora with a skilled safari birder Guide with chances to view crested fracolin, temminck’s courser, martial eagle, white headed, coqui, red- faced bar bet, ruppell’s Griffon, white headed, red headed weaver.
We go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo with chances to sight water birds like African fin foots, vultures, pelican bee-eaters, swallows among others. Retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Have a morning breakfast, and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park with lunch en-route at Agip motel. Upon arrival at the national park head for a boat cruise at the Kazinga channel with great sights of the Hippos, crocodiles, rhinos, water birds like African skimmer, swallows, vultures, African spoonbill, sparrow hawk, warblers among others.
Back to lodge with an evening visit to Katwe Crater Lake for viewing the flamingos with the sun setting off. Back to lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Bird Watching Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a morning breakfast, proceed for a full day bird watching in the western savannah region of Queen Elizabeth Nationla Park to search for Savannah birds like African crake, martial eagle, temminck’s courser, ruppell’s griffon, ovambo sparrow, hawk, lappet faced vultures, small buttonquail, harlequin, blue quail, lesser flamingo and temminck’s courser among others well as spotting magnificent wildlife and scenic flora for a memorable and interesting Uganda safari. Late Lunch at the lodge, relax at your lodge with dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Drive to Kampala through the Kyambura Gorge
Have breakfast and before we end our great Uganda bird watching safari, we take a nature walk in the Kyambura Gorge where we shall have a close range sight of faunas and floras including primates. Head back to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to Kampala to the drop off. Half board
