Day 1 of your Uganda safari to Murchison Falls National Park will commence with an early morning cup of tea or coffee in a hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
Later, meet your Afrik-Trek Holidays tour guide for briefing on what you should expect on your trip and then, begin your 4-5-hour journey to Murchison Falls National Park Uganda from Kampala through Luweero-Masindi route. Read about Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on the way to Murchison. Arrive early and get to the park via Kichumbanyobo gate and lunch will be served to you at the lodge.
At 2:00pm, expect to engage in a boat/launch trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls. This lets you spot out basking crocodiles, hippos, elephants, water birds including king fishers, eagles, egrets, bee-eaters and a lot more.
Get to the bottom of the falls early and enjoy the stunning beauty of this natural wonder, take pictures. You may choose to take a hike to the top of falls and have the best of the breathtaking view of the falls as it squeezes itself in a narrow gorge of about 8 meters forming a permanent rainbow.
