7-Day Rwanda Uganda Safari; An Incredible Wildlife Adventure

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.

Start your day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing. The thrilling gorilla trekking activity begins as we venture into the jungle in search of these magnificent creatures.

The duration of the trek can vary, as it depends on the gorillas’ location. Once we find them, you will have the precious opportunity to spend an hour in their presence. Return to the lodge for a late lunch and some relaxation.

In the evening, you can embark on a community walk and connect with the locals around the park. Else, you can stay at your lodge refreshing until the night falls for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

After breakfast, we’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on golden monkey trekking. You can also choose to hike to the Karisoke Research Centre, which was founded by Dian Fossey.

Enjoy your chosen activity before crossing over to Uganda and transferring to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, famous for hosting half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Enter the forest and embark on a thrilling trek to encounter the magnificent giant apes.

Once you find them, you will have one hour to interact and observe their behavior. Return to the lodge for lunch, and in the afternoon, visit the nearby Batwa community in Uganda for a cultural walk featuring traditional dances and songs. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge, and then embark on a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way, we’ll pass through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions and diverse bird species such as shoebills and kingfishers.

Check in at the lodge for lunch, followed by a thrilling boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you can observe crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and various bird species up close. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking and Game Drive.

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a primate search in the Kyambura Gorge. You will have the chance to interact with chimpanzees for one hour.

Return to the lodge for lunch, and in the evening, embark on a game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you can spot elephants, antelopes, zebras, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. Retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer Back to Kigali.

After breakfast, continue your journey to Kigali with a stop for shopping and to admire the magnificent topography along the way.

Upon arrival in Kigali city, enjoy a Kigali city tour, visiting attractions such as the museum, genocide memorial center, and local markets, as we conclude the 7-day Rwanda Uganda Safari.
