Customized 6 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari at a Reasonable Cost

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

The 6 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari will start with early morning breakfast, pick up from our driver guide ready to hit the road to Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda.

You will drive from Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal and your journey will cover about 5 hours. At Fort Portal, you have a stopover for lunch and then proceed to the park which is 36 kilometers drive.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Assemble at Kanyanchu Visitor Center after your breakfast where you will be briefed on the safety measures for chimpanzee trekking in the park.

Today, you will be put in a group of 6 visitors and assigned to one park ranger guide. At 8:00am, you will start your hike to search for chimpanzees which also rewards you with incredible sights at other primates including L’Hoest monkeys, red tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys and others plus birds.

After, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park about 3 hours away from Kibale National Park.

Day 3: Game drive along Kasenyi Plains and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

After an early morning breakfast, you have a game drive via Kasenyi plains in the northern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park. 

This will last you about 2 to 3 hours and will reward you with amazing sights at warthogs, buffaloes, African bush elephants, leopards, lions, Uganda kobs, birds and others. After, return to enjoy lunch and in the afternoon, you have boat cruise along the Kazinga channel.

A boat cruise is an exciting experience and it is mainly for you to catch a glimpse at a huge concentration of hippos, crocodiles, water birds and others.

Day 4: Travel to Bwindi National Park

Today after breakfast, drive to southwestern Uganda to Bwindi. Drive via Ishasha sector for you to sight at the tree climbing lions and other savanna dwellers. Have lunch en-route at Savanna Resort then proceed to Bwindi.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Visit the Local Community

On the 5th day of the 6 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari, you will enjoy your breakfast early in the morning at the lodge then have some packed lunch and bottled ready and assemble at Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo or Rushaga depending on where your gorilla permit directs you to for briefing for gorilla trekking rules and regulations.

At 8:00am, you will begin your search for gorillas which takes you about 4 to 6 visitors and once you find them, you have 1 hour to strike your imaginations, take pictures and learn about their behaviors. 

Later, you will return to have some rest and, in the evening, you will pay a visit to Batwa community for cultural experience.

Day 6: Return to Kampala
